Tamir Gintz, the artistic director of the Kama Dance Company, is proud to present an evening that is an international summit meeting of two leading choreographers in the world of contemporary dance, works by Jacopo Godani and Andonis Poniadakis.
Jacopo Godani (Italy), presents a world premiere at the Masquerade – Omniforge , for which he designed the costumes and lighting. Original music by Ulrich Müller. Omniforge is a machine that consumes energy to operate. The work is a powerful journey of movement transformation, Godani’s choreography maximizes the potential of the Masquerade dancers as they refine their skills, navigate complex groups and sophisticated structures and explore new dimensions of the art. Godani’s work in his abstract language challenges classical ballet while being able to dismantle and reassemble it.
Andonis Poniadakis (Greece) presents the work “Cosmos”, an intense work that challenges the limits of physicality and athleticism. Cosmos is a work that embodies movement in constant momentum, reflecting the energy and chaos of modern urban life.
