Omer Farouk is a virtuoso musician, a master of Turkish music, a percussionist and variety of wind instruments musician, who’s work crosses borders and times, both political and geographical. His work unites traditional melodies, folk music, Turkish music, all together with Greek and Middle Eastern elements.

On this special evening, he will host several leading Israeli musicians on stage. Featuring his best works, using a combination of oriental musical instruments such as a Flute, Nai (pan flute), Zorna, Baglama, and Tar (string instrument).

Takbilak project is known for the fine musical collaborations that had flourished throughout Farouk’s career, and reflects Farouk’s worldview, perceiving music as an instrument for abridging cultural gaps through art.
